I hope you enjoy my paintings.  Each painting is an original piece of work.  No two are the same although I may paint a place or subject more than once, each painting is unique.  My inspiration comes from the people and animals that touch my life, travel experiences, and just being surrounded by the constant and changing beauty in every day.  In particular, being a mother has taught me to be sensitive, intuitive and patient, all of which have helped enrich my painting experience.  Regular training is helping to fine tune my skills.

This plein air painting, done at the Bruce Vento Nature Preserve in St. Paul, MN, reminds me of how it feels to be a mother.  Maybe the feeling was inspired by the colors of the day or how the gentle humid breezes felt on my face, almost like a mother affectionately touching the soft cheek of her child.
