Better Days...is an 18"x24" studio painting based on a Midwest farm that has seen better days, and maybe it will again someday.  The rusty orange grasses lead me to the barns and then I noticed cows lingering around a tractor parked in the field.  This particular farm was meticulously maintained in the 1970's, but has since become run down.  Unfortunately, this is an increasingly more frequently occurring theme among family owned farmsteads across the country. 

This painting has been accepted into the Oil Painters of America National Show and will be on display at the Sage Creek Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, May 1-30.
